Welding equipment will always fail for various reasons after being used for a period of time. At this time, the user must refer to the instruction manual of the welding equipment for inspection and maintenance, that is, find and judge the cause according to the fault phenomenon. After the fault location is determined, repair and replace it to solve the fault, so that the welding equipment can be put into use as soon as possible, and reduce the economic loss caused by the equipment fault.

After the fault location is determined, repair and replace it to solve the fault, so that the welding equipment can be put into use as soon as possible, and reduce the economic loss caused by the equipment fault.

Ten maintenance and inspection methods for welding equipment:

1. Ask first and move later

For faulty welding equipment, do not rush to do it without knowing the truth. First, understand the performance of the equipment, ask the operator about the process and phenomenon of the failure. For unfamiliar and complex welding equipment, be familiar with the circuit principle and structural characteristics of the equipment, and comply with the corresponding regulations.

2. Outside before inside

Generally, first check whether there are obvious signs of damage outside the welding equipment, whether there are defects in the parts of the welding machine, understand its maintenance history, service life, observe the environment, use site and welding process, and then check the welding machine.

3. Power before power

Check whether the mechanical parts and components, lubrication, air circuit, water circuit and oil circuit of the welding equipment have problems. Only after confirming that these systems have no faults can the electrical inspection be carried out.

4. Move first and then stop

When the equipment is not powered on, judge the quality of welding equipment buttons, contactors, thermal circuit breaker elements and fuses, and determine the fault.

5. Clean before repair

For heavily polluted welding equipment, first clean its buttons, wiring points and contact points, and check whether the external control keys are faulty. Many faults are caused by dirt and conductive dust, and they are usually eliminated after cleaning, especially in harsh environments such as construction sites.
